Happy New Year

A great year has passed. A lot of good things have happened and I am sure a ton of also are coming next year. Most important events for me in year 2005 were:

• The National Academy of Software Development became a real working company. We had great time consulting and training developers of our clients. We organized a public seminar for mobile development and gathered more the 50 developers from major Bulgarian software companies.
• MS Days 2005 – for the first time I was a speaker on such great event with about 1,000 attendees.
• I got Microsoft Certified Trainer – a certification that was in my plans for several years.
The first book for .NET development has been released. I have just finished my part for the second volume of the book and we can expect it to be released I a couple of months.
• probably many other things I could not remember right now :)

I have made a list for the things I will focus on in the next year, but I will not share it for now. Just one word – Indigo.

I am sure that year 2006 will bring us many challenges and I wish to all of you to overcome them and pursue your happiness in every single thing you do.
Wish you luck and more smiles in 2006.

Nazdrave!

About Bulgarians

I am always admiring Bulgarians who struggle through their way for happiness in life. Especially in a foreign country. And I felt proud when I heard about Teo Lachev and his outstanding work in the Reporting Services area. But this is something I will never do. Forgive me Teo.

November is gone

November is finally over. It was a very intensive month. It is good that Microsoft decided to launch VS 2005, SQL 2005 and BizTalk 2006 in November and not in December. Otherwise there would not be a Christmas for me :). November was so long that I can not even remember all the things that I did during it.
We opened the academic year in several universities in the country with Microsoft Bulgaria, we organized VS Launch seminar together with Sofia .NET UG, I was coaching a two days workshop on VSTS and talked on the regular Microsoft ISV meeting in Bulgaria. I suppose I am missing something, but who cares. The overall fact is that I am so tired that I could not think of anything else other than having a good sleep for at least a week.
In the meanwhile – the printed copy of the first .NET book in Bulgarian is out. It is sitting right next to me. It is good to see that at some point your work is rewarded. If you want to order a copy you can call the Academy’s office.
And this Saturday, the Academy along with Bulgarian Association of Software Developers is organizing a seminar on development of mobile applications. It will be very interesting and relaxing since it is the first time that seminar like this is taken outside Sofia. See the news section for more information about other events.
